🎲 Game rules

Five minutes of reading — and you can argue tactics like a pro.

The board: start cells, the toilet with chambers I–II–III, portals and safe houses. This is exactly how it looks in the game.

The goal

Each player has five pieces. The task is to walk all five around the board and bring them into your home before your rivals do. Whoever is first — wins.

Rolling the dice

Two dice are rolled every turn: you may move different pieces, but you always move the higher value first and the lower one after. If there is no move for the first value, it burns. If there is none for the second either, the next player goes. You cannot jump over an occupied cell with any piece.

A “6” brings a piece out of the base onto the start. Until a six shows on the dice, no new pieces come into play.

Doubles

The same values came up — move and roll again. But you do not get to move on the third double in a row: the turn burns and passes to the next player.

Capturing

Land on a cell with a rival’s piece — it goes back to its base. And yes, you took it, so move again. No apologies for that (but you may in the chat). Inside the toilet you cannot capture on cells 1, 2, 3 — only at the toilet entrance.

Safe houses

On the marked cells capturing is impossible: your piece is safe there. And a rival’s piece cannot step in if the cell is taken. The perfect spot to sit it out and think about tactics.

One cell, one piece

Only one of your pieces fits on a cell (except the toilet cells 1, 2, 3): you cannot step onto your own — not on the ring, not in the home lane, not on a SAFE cell. The same goes for your start: until the piece you brought out moves on, a six will not bring out the next one.

The toilet

Step on the entrance cell and your piece gets sucked into the toilet. The only way out is rolling 1 → 2 → 3 in order: first a one, then a two, then a three. From the third cell you can already move on any value of the die. The whole path of suffering is marked on the board. If you have one piece left and the rest are home, you will not land in the same toilet a third time, unless you have started that piece over again.

Portals

Fork cells instantly carry a piece a quarter of the board along the drawn road, unless your own piece is in the way. A rival’s piece is no obstacle — it simply goes back to base. A big temptation to get around faster, but watch out: the road works both ways.

Extra turn

The cell with dice grants an extra roll. It does not give a second roll if you landed on the cell after a double. There will be only one extra move.

Winning

The first to bring all five home wins, the game is over. But try to bring as many pieces home as you can, it counts.

A ranked win pays tokens: 2 at a four-player table, 1 at a three-player table, none in a duel. Entry costs one token each, so ON AVERAGE a four-player game costs half of a duel — paid for by those who lost it.
